Military recruiters allowed on campus says Supreme Court

Just exactly why was this an issue, schools that are getting money FROM the Feds, should allow the FEDERAL recruiters on campus. You know, you big fancy schmancy law schools out East are the ones that threw the fit about no gays in the military policy. Well, they came up with a compromise and now all of a sudden that's not good enough either? You don't get to have it both ways. (heh heh...er...no pun intended there) Interesting fact: There are more people going to law school right now in this country, then there are lawyers in the entire world. Hmmm, no wonder everything is so friggin' screwed up.

Prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment, is Websters definition of discrimination.

"There's no discrimination against U.S. citizens in this, and that's what the law requires, that there be no discrimination against U.S. citizens," said federal policy director Josh Bernstein of the National Immigration Law Center.
Discrimination occurs when one group of people has a distinct advantage over another group of people wanting the same thing....in other words prejudicial treatment
This law will give ILLEGAL immigrants INSTATE tuition...just exactly how is that not discrimination you dumb *hit? Not to mention the tiny little fact they are not supposed to be here anyway! AHHHH!!!
This is absolutely insane guys. Are these people in Washington from the same planet as me and you? Instate tuition for ILLEGAL immigrants, they are breaking the law just by BEING here! Am I the only one not getting this? Okay, so if I go rob a bank I can get instate tuition...I'm a criminal just like these illegal aliens, right? As Charlie Brown says, "I can't stand it!"

I went to Dillards over the weekend, got a Ralph Lauren long sleeve shirt for 20.00 (normally 80.00) and a Nautica long sleeve shirt for 15.00 (normally 70.00) it's a 75% off sale, if you need some "winter" stuff, go there. Finally got to use a X-mas present this weekend, brand new cooler w/wheels.....if you don't have a big cooler w/wheels.... get one... trust me.
Iowa finishes second in the Big Ten pretty good....BTT time is Friday @ 5:30 pm. vs. winner of Minnesota/ Michigan.
Our softball tourney got rained out this weekend so nuttin' to report there....but supposed to play again Saturday in one....temps in the mid 60's, we shall see.
Our troops do what they do, so we can do what we do....support 'em!!!

Sick boy needs surgery from Vietnam, U S won't let him come

heh heh.....you know what's coming here don't you?
We let every friggin' criminal w/a record from God knows where in this country, and a little boy who could die from this infection he has, i s 2 1/2 years old and we can't get him here to have surgery? Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. When I first got to K C , I was working for a company who sub-contracted for the INS.....we had almost 90% of the immigrants files in this country where I worked (it was a giant cave)......millions and millions of files some of the ones that I saw, you would not believe the crap these guys had done that were STILL in the country and or let in the country.
It's a little kid guys, he's sick, we can cure him......I don't care if he was from the friggin' Taliban, he's 2 1/ 2 and has nothing to do with anything. Fix him, and send him back, whatever, but fix him!
It was just a couple months ago we had our Marines go rescue some abused cheetahs orsomething in Africa somewhere, what the hell? (wich was nice) But I'm talking about a HUMAN BEING HERE!
They have the money to pay for it, the taxpayers don't have to cover this, what the hell is the problem?
Maybe I'm way off base on this one.....your thoughts guys?

Good, there's no reason in the world why a high school athlete cannot at least "pass" their classes. Just do your homework, and study a little bit for tests and it shouldn't be a problem. Quite frankly I think they should be made to carry at least a "c" average....but this is a start. I was no genius or anything (as most of you know heh heh) but I never ever flunked a class. Not to say that I wasn't close once or twice (Algebra comes to my mind) but I manged to not flunk with lots of help.

Bowl game nets profit for Hawks

Oh God, I can't wait to read the letters on this...."We spent how much money on sending all those people to the bowl game in Florida?" "That shouldn't be happening, academics is more important, football should be second." Yeah maybe it should, BUT.....how much FREE publicity did we get for getting there.....then the bruhaha over the officiating...etc.etc. In the end if the Hawks only made 1 penny profit on the deal....it still cost the U absolutely ZERO dollars out of pocket because of the payout. So, to all the ding dongs that write in and complain about this.....I've got one word for you.

Anyway, looks like the B 10 title is out of reach.....but it'd be nice to beat the cheeseheads on Saturday.
We have our first softball tourney this weekend....yeah, after a week of 70 's in K C.... it's supposed to be 50's this weekend, it's a 4 game guarantee all played on Saturday, so I'll need lots of "warmer uppers" I'm sure. heh heh.

Judge rules against Christian posters..

........okay, here we go again. {Lee, a Spanish teacher who advises the school's Christian students club, had displayed news articles about President Bush's religious faith, a National Day of Prayer flier and a depiction of George Washington praying at Valley Forge.} I hardly think this could possibly "offend" anyone. A depiction of the Father of our country PRAYING at Valley Forge! Oh, a parent complained so we better get those removed right away! I was offended, my wittle feewings were hurt. Hmmm...I wonder what would've happened had it been a prominent Middle-East historical figure praying at a site of one of their great victories. If they would've had that removed.... oh my gosh.....you friggin' racist, damn bigoted, pigs! Get over yourselves people, it's George friggin' Washington for Gods sake! AHHHHHH! What the hell is going on in this country??? Whomever this was that complained, do you get YOU ARE IN AMERICA? George Washington is the REASON you can be idiot. All right I can't even type anymore, I'm so pissed off about this. (my co -worker next to me wants to know if I have killed my keyboard yet because I was hitting the keys so hard) They did at least leave the Boy Scouts poster up.

Capitalism is failing?

I'm not sure who this joker is, but capitalism is failing? Riiiiiiight, that's why EVERY single communist country in the history of the world has either failed or is on the brink, except for China, wich is really barely communist anymore anyway.
He says rates at the top of the income tax scale should be increased, sorry Don but the wealthy ALREADY pay most of the tax burden in this country. (I could get you the figures, but just trust me) So yeah, lets tax them a little more so they WON'T have the money to buy the big ticket stuff to keep money flowing in this country.
The other thing he says in here is that we need a national program for basic health care services, ever been to Canada there Donny boy? Why do you think they all come here for services, because the program up there sucks. It's all paid for thru tobacco and alcohol taxes.....that's why it's 20.00 for a 12 pack in canada.
And by the way, everybody has a chance to pursue happiness in this country....nobody is going to just hand it to you.
Your humble blogger himself (me) went thru a deal last summer where my job was eliminated and I went to interview after interview, probably close to 30 with other ares of my company. Finally somethng just fell into my lap as kind of a temporary thing, and the only reason I got that
was because the Mgr. had heard I was trying very hard to stay with this company, and he said anybody that wants to stay that bad could work for him any day. I had no experience whatsoever in that job, either. As it turned out, I ended up back in my other old job I had originally. Anyway the point is you have to go out and get it, Don. Why don't you move to a socialist state and have them give all your money to people who aren't working, having babies they can't pay for, doing drugs......etc. I get soooooo tired of you liberal/socialist ding dongs wanting to give everybody else MY money. Go away please

Don Knotts and Darin Mcgavin...

....well we lost a couple gems over the weekend, "Barney Fife" and "Kolchack, The Night Stalker" And of course Mcgavin also known as the Dad in the best Christmas movie ever "A Christmas Story"
My favorite Andy Griffith episode has to be "The Count Vandalecky" episode. An absolute riot. The world is truly a lesser place without these two. Thanks for making me laugh guys, and some great memories growing up!

Well, our beloved black and gold thru up another stinker against Illinois Saturday night, but it was all good as two of my best buddies came down for the weekend and stayed with us. We saw a good band Friday night, and then went and watched the game Saturday night.

Believe it or not we have our first softball tourney down here this coming weekend, it's hard to believe the difference in the weather just a couple hundred miles south of ole' Iowa City. I'm luvin' it....supposed to be pushing 70 all week in K C and maybe even 80 on Wed!

"Port Snort"

This thing just keeps getting more bizzare, now it appears Bush knew nothing of the sale until just recently. Who the hell is supposed to be keeping him informed on this stuff? I mean I know he's the prez and all, but he can't watch everything all the time.
A few facts about our supposed "allies" that want to take this over: UAE
1. A large percentage of 9/11 money from Al-Qaeuda went thru their banks
2. They have smuggled nukes for Pakistan
3. Two of the hi-jackers on 9/11 came from there.
4. They recognized "The Taliban" as a legit gov't.
These are just a few of the things I've found out on my own, I'm sure there is more.
Some of the 'publican pundits are spouting about how we need to support them because they've helped us in the war on terror. People, with "allies" like this, who needs terrorists?
They SHOULD be helping with the war on terror, it's not just America they want destroyed, it's everybody and everyone that does not agree with them, period. (America just happens to be at the top of the list) We need to do what's best for us, here in the U S......that would mean NOT turning over the ports to these guys.
(For the record, you all know I'm pretty much a staunch Bush supporter)

Patriot Guard Riders...

...for those of you who don't know who Fred Phelps take my word for it he is a total *uck. He protests funerals of fallen soldiers at the funeral! This new group out of Indiana called The Patriot Guard Riders is 300 strong, try messing with them Fred. He always shows up with a bunch of bodyguards and tries to lure you into a fight, (then of course his b'guards are all judo/karate experts) and sues you for assault.
Thank God somebody is finally thinking, I'm normally all for my Grand Ole' Party but I saw where Rice, and Rumsfeld had given their approval on this. That's just nuts guys, I'm sorry I don't care how many checks and balances these dumb things have to go thru, we CAN'T have a company from the UAE running 6 major U S Ports. Period.
If you happen to be in Iowa City in June....this looks like fun...hmmm also a couple of all pros coming back to help with the camp, might want to think about sending the kids.
Guess what Prince Charles, nobody here cared when you got married, got divorced, and got re-married, nobody cared when you fell off your friggin' horse at a polo match, and we sure could give a hoot about your friggin' diary...
My nephew is doing fine, although somewhat unimpressed with his first Iowa game on Saturday, that's okay Brady...we'll beat Illannoy this weekend to make up for it!
