Teens expelled for movie where teddy bears attack teacher:
Okay, I'm all for free speech and all that too, but sometimes you have to use your heads a little bit guys. With today's climate in schools, I guess you just never know.
I don't think I would've expelled them. But definetley need to be talked to about it. This probably was totally harmless, but again, you have to use your heads boys. That's just the way it is.

PETA names Nicole Richie worst-dressed celeb:
Ashley Olsen, Eva Longoria also make this year's list

Nicole Richie has more to deal with than denying that she has an eating disorder: PETA has just named Richie the world’s worst-dressed celeb.
“This pelt-wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones,” notes the animal rights group. “She’s an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match.”
Ashley Olsen is the runner-up. “Wearing fur does add 20 pounds,” PETA says, “but if Ashley wants to fill out her frame, we suggest using a fork instead.”

“Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria also made the worst dressed list. Opines PETA: “You’d think she’d be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way she screws around like one on Wisteria Lane.”
Paris Hilton, who topped last year’s list, was let off the hook this year because she stopped wearing furs after seeing a grisly PETA video about the fur industry. But a spokesman for the group says they’re still taking a “wait and see” attitude before asking the underwear-eschewing heiress to become one of the PETA’s “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” models.
Heh heh, well if PETA doesn't like these gals, that means I do!

SO BE IT!

So Be It!
THE LAW IS THE LAW
So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.I'd like the "US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break."After all it's just another day.I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."In fact....I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says thatit should be just another day....What do you all think????

Have a "Shay Day"

An uplifting litte story:
I read this and thought you would appreciate it too.

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child." Then he told the following story:Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps. Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning." Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay"Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third!" As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, "Shay, run home! Run home!" Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team. "That day", said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, "the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world".Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

IAEA: Unexplained Plutonium, Enriched Uranium Traces Found in Iran

Not to be an alarmist here guys, but this is bad.
I'm sure they think they'll wait two years, until Bush is out of office, hope a democat gets in, and send one on over here, believing we won't do anything because we have a democat in office.
We need to go blast their plant NOW, but of course that won't happen. If people understood what the hell was going on, this would never be a problem. We're fighting the war in Iraq to keep from having to fight the war here. See? If we allow Iran to continue on the present course, same thing will happen.

Hawkeyes need accountability:
By PCopinion Posted at 11:02 AM on November 9, 2006
At the end of the game last Saturday, I heard someone near the end of the game say, “It’s only a game.” Funny how that comment always seems to come from the losing side. Being at the game last Saturday, I willingly admit to being one of the scattered fans who booed the team.Just like I did in 2001 during Iowa vs. Michigan, I saw a team that lacked the ability to close the deal when they had the chance and was being poorly coached.I agree with Jerry Heathman’s letter (“Embarrassed by Saturday’s ‘fan,’” Nov. 7), in which he points out the amount of investment we’ve made in the program. I disagree, however, with everything else. Under Kirk Ferentz we can’t get through a season without falling on our faces at least once.Fans booed because we are tired of the lack of results in our investment. Our team as a whole has not improved during the season. If we as a fan base are satisfied with this team, then there is no need to keep Ferentz and his staff around. We can get by with a high school coach and save money, but if we want to be good, we need to hold this team accountable for lack of heart and performance.

I can't believe I am even replying to this, it is so ridiculous.....did the Press Citzen actually print this? Yes, I am frustrated with this team as well this year, but to say we can't get thru the season without falling on our faces at least once? To say Ferentz teams lack results? What do you expect...undefeated seasons every year? How about this: 4 JANUARY BOWL GAMES IN A ROW, there's only four other teams in the whole country to do that. But you're right, Ferentz teams are lacking in results, did I mention two Big Ten titles? I didn't?.....yeah we've won the Big Ten twice, we gave Michigan their worst beating ever in the big house under Kirk "lack of results" Ferentz....have absolutley OWNED Minnesota, Penn St. and the Cheeseheads, we even beat Ohio State once. (okay I'll give you that one, but Hayden couldn't beat Ohio State either, for the most part) Beat Florida, LSU and Texas Tech in bowl games, and save for some REALLY bad calls we would've beat Florida again.....had a Heisman runner-up candidate, an Outland Trophy winner.....who by the way went NUMBER 2 in the NFL draft, produced one of the best tight ends in the league, as well as one of the best safety's. (who happen to play on the same team in the NFL) Yeah, I guess you're right.....Kirk "lack of results" Ferentz needs to move on. I understand the frustration of this year, but lets go ahead and get our facts straight before we start tossing out willy nilly acusations of "lack of results" under Ferentz.

ELECTION

Well,
I hope the American people have realized what they've done by electing a bunch of liberals.
They are going to try like hell to undo everything Bush has done. You know those nice tax cuts we got that jump started this economy....probably will be gone....get ready for higher taxes, a push to weaken the military and intellegence agency's. (ala slick willie)
And now we have ULTRA LEFT WHACK-O Nancy Pelosi will be third in line to run the most powerful country in the world.
BAD! BAD! BAD!
Do you really think someone like her would have the moral conviction to defend this country should the need arise?
Do you really think she could push the button?
Hell no, she couldn't.
She'll want to sit down at the "negotiating" table and "talk"
Maybe we should throw a little hissy fit like the dems did back in 2000....oh oh oh...voter fraud, recount, recount!
You stole the election!

EXCELLENT LETTER!!

The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and Associates in Atlanta. She recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq....... Read it!
*****************
"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children, die a hor rible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all. I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11. I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia. I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs. I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care. When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is co mplaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutelybelieve in your heart of hearts that I don't care. And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it --- I don't care!!!!!!!! If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
--"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world.
But, the Marines don't have that problem."
-- Ronald Reagan "the great communicator"
I have another quote that I would like to add AND...I hope you forward this such as I have.
"If we ever forget that we're One Nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." also by... Ronald Reagan

Just a short story today!

A man is waiting for his wife to give birth. The doctor comes in
and informs the dad that his son was born without a torso, arms or legs. The son is just a head! But the dad loves his son and raises him as well as he can, with love and compassion. After 21 years, the son is now old enough for his first drink. Dad takes him to the bar, tearfully tells the son he is proud of him and orders up the biggest, strongest drink for his boy. With all the bar patrons looking on curiously and the bartender shaking his head in disbelief, the boy takes his first sip of alcohol. Whooosh! A torso pops out! The bar is dead silent; then bursts in to a whoop of joy. The father, shocked, begs his son to drink again. The patrons chant "Take another drink"! The bartender still shakes his head in dismay. Whooosh! Two arms pops out! The bar goes wild. The father, crying and wailing, begs his son to drink again. The patrons chant "Take another drink "! The bartender ignores the whole affair. By now the boy is getting tipsy, and with his new hands he reaches down, grabs his drink and guzzles the last of it. Whooosh! Two legs pop out. The bar is in chaos. The father falls to his knees, tearfully giving thanks!! The boy stands up on his new legs and stumbles to the left....then to the right ... right through the front door, into the street, where a truck runs over him and kills him instantly. The bar falls silent. The father moans in grief. The bartender sighs and says...

(wait for it)

(it's coming)

(Ya ready?)

(Don't hate me)

(take a deep breath)

"He should have quit while he was a head!"

"You study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

I'm sure we've all heard the statement by now from John Kerry.
Okay John, you SAY it was directed at the white house and Bush.
Did you know Bush went to Harvard AND Yale? I'm pretty sure he made an effort, and did his homework, and studied hard.
You won't apologize for such a statement?
You arrogant, pompous ass.
Your disdain for the military is as easy to spot as your "Lurch" face.
You hate Bush, you hate anything and everything that has to do with the military, and or national security. As long as you and your cohorts get in power, you don't care, you will do and or say ANYTHING, obviously.
You just handed the 'publicans the election. All of the undecided Republicans, or all of them that had decided not to vote, are now going to vote for Republicans. Just that one statement you made, John Kerry.
And you know what else, even if you did apologize, nobody would believe it.
John Kerry, you are the Terrel Owens' of politics.....keep talking, the more you talk , the more people realize what is going on.
You are a phony, power hungry, I can't take a stand on anything, idiot.
Keep talking!
I'm sure glad you're on the democats side......because you're the best player for our team!
Guys, we absolutely cannot trust the safety and security of this nation to the likes of a John Kerry and his ilk.
Whatever your stance on all the other issues, at this junctre does not matter.
With the Islamic radicals wanting to take over everything, god forbid it happens, but if it does, there won't be any issues.....it's their way, or they chop off your head.
PERIOD.
So like I say, keep talking John Kerry, and we'll have nothing to worry about.
