This is from a letter to the editor in the Iowa City Press Citizen, my response is after the letter, and rest assured my response has been sent to said paper.

Without a doubt we live in disturbing times. Spurred by very little resistance we entered a war which our recent history (Vietnam) should have prevented us from doing. In addition, our government has phenomonally created a humongous national debt and more billionaires simultaneously. Our middle class population is sliding downward into a credit-card illusion of wealth, our government holds non-charitable attitudes towards the disenfranchised.
Indeed, the Katrina revelation has shaken the bones of a nation which prides itself on rescuing those in need. However, though the unabashed wire tapping comes close, nothing is as frightening to me as the private combat training schools which are rapidly emerging across the nation. ("Minutemen to start on Security fence in Ariz.," May 28.)
When people take up arms (minutemen) and the government allows young civilians who've been nurtured on video game violence to unabashedly learn killing techniques in a "shoothouse" setting, we are in great trouble as a nation. Who knows how long consumerism will hold back the tide of the great divisions now taking place? I shutter to think of the possible repercussions of this killing industry which uses "a fake house, convenience store and bar room" as the settings to learn killing tactics.

Oh Corinne,
a war we enetered with very little resistance? How about seventeen U.N. resolutions over twelve years? Not United Sates resolutions, United Nations resolutions.
Issue number one, you lose.
Our government created billionaires? I know, lets call Bill Gates, Steve Forbes, the Walton family (no not the T V show people, the Wal-mart people) and see just exactly how the government created them.
In fact, if I remeber correctly, the feds tried to get Bill Gates for having an unfair monopoly. So by your logic, they built Microsoft up, just to tear it down, although I wouldn't put something like that past the feds, I'm pretty sure that's not what happened.
Issue number two, you lose.
A credit card illusion of wealth? Damn those feds making people use those credit cards. I know one time I was at this Wal-mart the federal government created, and I was trying to pay cash, and this treasury agent appeared out of nowhere and made me use my credit card.
Issue number three, you lose.
The Katrina "revelation" and just what was that....that the corrupt local government down there created a welfare state that conditioned some people to sit on their *sses and wait for help? Let me tell you something, I WAS THERE , that's right, I went down there with my company and we were helping to rebuild the phone network (I work for a large cell phone company in Kansas City) and ninety percent of the people I talked to were helping themselves, it's just that the ultra left news media only reported on the people that wouldn't help themselves, and blamed it on Bush.
Issue number four, you lose.
Unabashed wire tapping?
Collecting data of what numbers were calling what numbers is unabashed wire tapping? Not only that, we haven't been attacked again in almost five years now. Specifically because of measueres like"unabashed wire tapping"
Issue number five, you lose.
"When people take up arms" (minutemen)
Wow, lets go ahead and have a little history lesson shall we? Without the Minutemen doing what they did during the revolution, you may not have been able to write a letter like you have just written.
It's our basic RIGHT to defend our country, property and our border in any way we have to. The same thing may end up being true in this case, if we don't defend what's ours.
Issue number six, you just lost.
Basically Corrine, you've lost every single issue, badly. Wich is about par for the course, the ultra left wing socialists have been wrong on the wrong side of every single issue thruout our history, look it up. The proof is in the pudding folks.
